My standard (medium) cutting board is made from red oak in approximate dimensions of 16"x9"x1.5"; however, other wood species and sizing are available.

Making Something out of Nothing
My cutting boards start out as just a simple 1"x6" board.
Once measured and cut, I secure the slats with food-safe Titebond II wood glue.
They are clamped and sit for a minimum of 24 hours.
I then sand, plane, level, and sand again.
After the boards themselves are completed, I draw out the design you chose.
We will discuss as many times as necessary to get it exactly how you want it.
I then hand-burn your image, design or wording onto your new cutting board.
Finally, your board is ready for it's finishing!
Each cutting board is coated with several layers of food-safe, 100% pure tung oil.
This process takes several days of treating, soaking, and re-treating, until it is fully saturated.
It will then sit for a minimum of three days to finish setting.
Your new board is now ready!
Treatment: Hand-wash only, soap and water.
Note: If your board ever begins to dry out, you can re-treat with 100% pure tung oil - not tung oil finish – as it is not food-safe. Alternatively, you can contact me, and I will re-treat free of charge.
